The Government will hold their final Budget next week and it is thought that they will use this opportunity to launch their General Election Campaign. I would expect the Chancellor to announce some spending cuts, but also to offer some sweeteners to the electorate in the hope that these will stay fresh in the mind when standing in front of the Ballot Box on May 6th.

Many people still don't think that it will happen any time in the near future. I am a worker in the great hive of modern consumption- the supermarket. I worked on the checkouts all day today and one observation that I have to make is how miserable many of the shoppers are in the day to day task of shopping.

OK here's the thing - I've been thinking, [dangerous I know!] it's time to sex this Stoke-on-Trent Central malarkey up a bit! I mean we have had the bad blood, we have had the sarcastic comments, now it's time to put some rock 'n' roll into the proceedings. It's quite obvious now that there are two opposing factions in the race to become Stoke-on-Trent Centrals next Labour MP.
